H.N. Baird grew up in the mountain valleys of the Rockies, where wild landscapes, old stories, and an active imagination were never very far away.

A lifelong reader with a fondness for folklore, fantasy, and stories with a darker edge, she writes at the place where familiar tales begin to twist into something unexpected.

When she isn't writing, she can usually be found reading the latest YA fiction, escaping into the wild lands around her, or spending time at home with the love of her life and their fur babies.
